Wednesday Loves!

I'm Loving that Kaylee and I have been REALLY enjoying our summer together. BEST SUMMER YET!

I'm Loving that our town has an AMAZING sno cone joint. So amazing that Kaylee and I have been 4 weeks in a row :)
                             

I'm Loving that Kaylee loved our free local museum trip with my parents. She talked to Eric about the dinosaurs all night!

I'm Loving that my girl is almost fully potty trained, and she is Loving her big girl bed! Two huge milestones for a little girl. So proud of her!

Today is July 1st!

Summer time is amazing! Notice I said started my first crafty thing of the summer not finished...I will get there so I can share on Monday Made It with Tara next week! 

We don't have much plans this week- I like that :) Looking forward to the 4th on Thursday!

Five For Friday!

1. Potty Training has been going extremely well. Our sweet Kaylee is loving using the potty and wearing those big girl panties :)

Popsicle Reward!

2. Kaylee and I went to get her two year pictures taken Wednesday. She LOVED cheesin for the camera!

3. We played at the splash pool yesterday. Kaylee found some flippers that just so happened to match her bathing suit. It sure was funny watching her walk in them!

4. Last night I played a softball double header. I had a blast playing center field. I caught 8 fly balls! Definitely never thought I could do that since I was always an infielder in my time :)

5. Meeting my new "resident"student teacher for this next school year today! What better place to go then Yogurt Mountain?? Excited for our adventure together this year!

We celebrated Kaylee turning two with family on Saturday. She LOVED being the birthday girl and was so thankful for all her gifts!

Potty training is about to occur in our house... Wish us luck!

I have attended CCSS Math training for the past two days. Didn't learn too much new stuff from last year, but the new stuff I did learn made my head hurt :( 

Taking my dad to lunch tomorrow for Father's Day- steak here we come!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

I'm Loving that our silly sweet Kaylee turned 2 yesterday! She is turning into such a big girl and I'm Loving this toddler stage! It is so fun to have a conversation with my girl :)

I'm Loving that Kaylee and I spent some time at the splash park on her birthday!

I'm Loving that we took her to Build a Bear to celebrate last night! she picked a pink princess bear and named her "Pink." Very fitting since this girl loves the color pink!

I'm Loving that we are heading to swim with some friends today!

Lastly, I'm Loving that summer is in full swing. Yes, it is in the 90s and super humid, but there is nothing like being a teacher when summer time comes along :)

Tybee Island

Kaylee and I just got back from a fun week at Tybee Island with my family! This was our first trip to the Atlantic coast, and we loved it. The ocean is definitely different looking than the Gulf, but not a bad different. Tybee is a small island, it doesn't take very long to get from one end to the other. I loved how not crowded it was compared to Destin, Panama City, and Gulf Shores (our typical beach towns). Tropical Storm Andrea decided to pass through and make for a good amount of rain, but we spent the majority of the rainy time in Savannah!

Savannah is very close so we went in to Savannah to site see and eat at Paula Deen's restaurant. We also got to meet Paula and company at a book signing she just happened to have while we were down there!

Kaylee had a blast. She loved the beach and the sand this year. Her favorite was the pool though. It was her first time using a ring and floaties, and she couldn't get enough of them.  I'm excited I will get to take her back to the beach in October for my friend's wedding! 
                       

Toddler Apps

We just gave Kaylee an early birthday present, her own tablet! Kaylee has been obsessed with our iPad since we got it last summer. So obsessed that we don't even get to use it much. Eric thought we should just get Kaylee her own tablet (something much cheaper) so she can play and we can play too. So after some research, we got her a Kindle Fire HD. 

Clearly she loves it! Kaylee calls it "Pink iPad!"

Anyone know of the best toddler apps for the Kindle Fire HD? I have already downloaded a bunch of free ones, but I figure there may be some I don't know about. Please comment and let me know of some great apps for my almost 2 year old. Thanks!

School is Out!

School is officially our for the summer! This means I will have free time to blog for the next two months! My goal is to blog twice a week- one blog family related and one school related. So excited to be a SAHM for 8 weeks. Kaylee and I have lots of fun in store for us!

Had fun at opening weekend last Saturday!

Kaylee and I will be spending tons of time at our neighborhood gym's outdoor splash pool. They have summer memberships so we jumped on that so I can work out in air conditioning, and we can swim!

Wednesday Loves

I'm Loving Sammie, my sister and brother-in-law's new puppy girl. She is just precious. Kaylee, Eric, and I have enjoyed spending a little time with her this past week.

 

I'm Loving our front yard. We spent most of Saturday putting in new mulch, new plants, and new flowers!

I'm Loving that Saturday is the hubby's birthday. Kaylee and I are excited to spend the day together with him and lunch with fam!

I'm Loving that this is my second blog post of the week, maybe I am getting back in the groove??

Spring Break Fun!

Spring Break has already come and gone for us here in TN land! Kaylee and I enjoyed every minute we got to spend together during the break. We played tons at the park, went to the lake, hit up story time at the library, had a picnic with friends, shopped, had some ice cream dates, and just relaxed :) 

K-Bug loves her some strawberries!                       

I love the one on one time that I get to spend with my girl. She turned 21 months over break. Getting close to the big 2!

She can now say a few sentences like "I got it" and "I did it." Kaylee loves to say please and thank you and she learns a new word each day. She is currently obsessed with her bunny that she got for last Easter. Bunny goes everywhere Kaylee goes. Bunny even made it into her Easter picture! 

                                      

Kaylee is super brave. She loved sitting high up in the tree at the lake. She is starting to try things more on her own without me holding her hand or helping her.

                                    

Here's to the last nine weeks flying by so my sweet girl and I can enjoy our summer fun time together!

Yo Gabba Fun!!!

Ready for her first Orpheum Experience!

Kaylee and I saw Yo Gabba Gabba Live last weekend and she had the time of her life!! I never thought that I would enjoy it as much as I did. I was so happy watching her be happy :) 

                                          

Kaylee sang and danced along to most of the songs. Her expressions were priceless :)

                                                   

She even kept hugging me b/c she was so happy that we were there :)

My girl is getting so big, I love being able to semi-have conversations now. Motherhood just keeps getting better!
