Saturday Morning Fun

Kaylee loves her JoJo so much that this morning she really wanted to go outside when I let him out. So off I went to find a hat that fits her head and we headed on out. Kaylee discovered the millions of gumballs we have in our yard and constantly tried to put them in her mouth. Made for some cute pictures!

What I'm Pinning Wednesday- Evening edition :)

Thought I would take a moment to link up with my co-worker over at Kinder Kraziness for What I'm Pinning Wednesday! I love taking a few minutes each day to check out what the latest is on Pinterst. Here is what I found this week:
School Pins
Totally want to make this chart or something similar for my kiddos. I think if they know what Fluent means, they might try to be fluent readers!

Too cool, remove a post-it each time a student blurts out!

Cool way to save Box Tops!
Home Pins
Saw this and immediately got an old shower organizer and hung it up in my kitchen for my mail/bills. Not nearly as cute as this but I actually attempted to recreate something that I pinned. It's a start :)
Garlic Knots! Wow, really want to make these, they look soooo yummy!

Early Valentines Dinner!

We had an early Valentines dinner tonight since V-Day is a school night and all. We hit up our local commissary for their ribs for two meal to go! It came with a whole slab of ribs, four eggs, two rolls, and enough beans and slaw for like 4 people. Plus we got a side of chili cheese fries. Me being the lover of desserts that I am, just had to get their famous banana pudding as well! So much food, but oh so good and we have some leftover :)

Amazingly Tasty!

So bad but so good

My weakness!

It has been a cold weekend in our town and there is a possibility of snow tomorrow. Fingers crossed b/c I want my sweet Kaylee Joy to see the pretty snow! Hope everyone had a nice weekend :)

Kaylee's 8 Months!

Our sweet girl is 8 months old today! Each month is seeming to go faster than the last. Biggest change I have noticed this past month is Kaylee's hair is coming in more and more and getting darker again! We went to the doctor a couple weeks ago for her second round of the flu shot. At that time, she was 16 lbs and 12 oz. Here are my other updates on Kaylee Joy:
Sleeping: Kaylee is still going to bed around 8:30 after a 4 oz bottle. She sometimes starts the night in her crib and sometimes doesn't. Kaylee loves to cuddle with mommy, so most of the time we cuddle all night. It is frustrating that she won't stay in her crib all night, but I sure am loving my cuddle time. She won't be this little for much longer!

Eating: Kaylee eating the same as last month since she still doesn't have any teeth, but we have introduced puffs to her. Kaylee loves her puffs! They keep her entertained while we eat dinner which is a wonderful thing. Many puffs get stuck to her as she is feeding herself, so cute!

Activity:  Kaylee is now a speed crawler. She does this thing where if you say you are going to get her, she starts crawling super fast. She is starting to try to stand alone, but hasn't gotten that down yet. Kaylee loves playing with JoJo and his toys

Napping: No changes with Kaylee's naps really. She still takes about 3 a day. After about two hours of play she gets tired and ready for a nap. They don't last more than 30-45 minutes usually.

Favorite Place: Still loving anywhere with mommy when at home. Also, she really loves playing with her toys at Nana's house!

Happy 8 months baby girl!

Our Love Story: Link Up!

I'm Linking up with From Mrs. to Mama to share our love story in honor of Valentine's Day!

Taken Ladies
1. How long have you and your significant other been together?  A little over 8 years!

2. How did you meet? {What's your "love" story?} We met my first semester of college when I was 18 and Eric was 21. We had Sociology class together. I stared at the back of Eric's head until around November when we finally spoke to each other. We went bowling with a group of his friends soon
after and have been together ever since!

3. If married, how long have you been married? We will be married 4 years April 26th :)

4. If you are married, where did you get married at? We got married at a small church in town and had the reception in our backyard. Big or small wedding? We had a very small wedding with only a little over 50 people in attendance. It was a perfect day for us!

5. Do you have any nick-names that you call one another? Do share! We totally used nicknames more when we were dating...(we have become lame in our married years). No nicknames now we just call each other mommy and daddy since we have a baby :)

6. Name 3 things you love most about your honey. One- Eric generally loves everything about me, the good, the bad, the ugly. I love getting to be completely myself around him.  Two- Eric is such a good daddy! I have loved watching him grow as a father these past 8 months. I smile every time I see him and Kaylee together. Three- Eric cleans and does laundry!! Yes, I know I am extremely lucky. He is a little OCD, but all is well when my house gets clean and my laundry gets done each week.

7. Tell us how he proposed? Eric proposed on Valentine's Day 2007. He was giving me my Valentine's gift (chocolate covered strawberries and a box of chocolates). I thanked him for both and set the boxes down. He was like, "Don't you want to open your chocolates?" I said, "No not now maybe later." And he was like, "Come on open them now, try one." So, I opened the box. Inside where the middle chocolate had been was a ring box. I couldn't believe it! So I saw the box he picked it up and asked and I said yes! Too sweet :)

8. Is he a flowers and teddy bear kind of guy for v-day, or strawberrieschampagne, and rose petals? flowers and teddy bear for sure

9. Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or pop a movie in and relax on the couch? pop a movie in and relax kind of girl!

10. Tell us one thing you'd like to do with your significant one day. If you could do anything? Go anywhere? Totally want to travel to the west coast/west side of the states together. Also would love to leave the country and go to Italy! (absolute dream)

11. Tell us what you plan on doing on this Valentine's Day. We have no big plans seeing as it is on a Tuesday night and Eric doesn't get home till about 7:30. We will probably go out to eat this weekend as a pre-celebration with Kaylee with us, a family celebration!

12. Are you asking for anything this Valentine's day? Nope! Eric typically gets me a card and candy and that is the perfect present for me :)

13. Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love. Be honest. Laugh together. Tell each other thank you for the small and big things you do for one another. Say I love you everyday!

14.  Show us a picture of what love means to you.
Total love on Eric's face. So sweet!
Our precious family! L-O-V-E

Random Happenings of the Week

Quotes of the week in my 3rd grade class-
Student: "Um Mrs. F I see a gray hair." Me: "Yes, I know I have many of them, but you do not have to point them out!"
Me as we play I Have Who Has Synonyms and no one is answering: "Okay, who has a synonym for lazy?"
Student chirps up: "Me! I am a synonym for lazy."

My student teacher made AMAZING synonym and antonym projects with our kiddos. Our hall wall looks ADORABLE! See for yourself :)

Kaylee looks as if she has grown a foot this week (slight exaggeration , but really she has grown). She can even feed herself now!

We went to our town's library this afternoon for their 6 month- 5 year old story time.
Checking out the neat firetruck reading spot in the children's section while we waited

Kaylee really enjoyed the Treehouse stories! Here is a short clip of her reaction to the puppets :)
I exercised both days this week as I planned. One day was kickboxing and the second we walked/ran outside since it was beautiful! I love getting the exercise in before I head home for the day. It is much easier to workout with friends! Excited to watch my sister in her color guard competition this weekend, plus Logan's for lunch on Sunday before the Super Bowl (Really I just like the commercials).

Happy Weekend Everyone!
