What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Stole the "What I'm Loving Wednesday" theme from my big sister. Here is my first attempt:

I am loving that we are going to have a little girl. Makes me even more anxious to meet her :) I am also loving that I finally look pregnant!

Kaylee Joy and me at 21 Weeks :)

I am loving my 3rd grade co-workers. They all wore pink to school today in honor of finding out that I am having a girl. One of them even made a beautiful and yummy cake for us to eat at lunch.

And finally, I'm loving that despite the brief snow last night, the weather is looking up! It is going to be sunny and in the 50s the next couple of days.

It's A Girl!

Found out today, that our baby is a girl! So excited to finally know. Now, the fun begins :) Can't wait to go start picking out baby girl stuff this weekend. I know I want more purple in the room than pink. Maybe purples and greens or purples and yellows. Guess I will have to see what we can find. So excited. Can't wait to meet our little princess in June :)

Dexter

TV Post #2 of the year! Eric and I have become addicted to a show called Dexter. Dexter is a Showtime series that Eric and I started watching on DVD over Christmas Break. It is about a man named Dexter that works for Miami Police Homicide in the blood department. He goes to crime scenes and analyzes blood splatters and what not. Well, on the side, he is a serial killer. But, he only kills bad people. He tracks down murderers and kills them in a very brutal way by chopping up their bodies into lots of pieces. Yeah, gross but they don't show all that all the time! I would have never thought I would like a show about a serial killer, but it is so good. The show really knows how to hook your attention and leave you hanging for what is to come next! The only thing I don't like about it is Dexter's sister cusses like a sailor. So unattractive for a girl to cuss like that. If you ever get a chance, you should check it out. We can't watch it on tv b/c we don't have Showtime, but the seasons are out there on DVD or on Netflix!

Snow Day!

Well we have only been back in school for 4 days, and here we are out for a snow day! I am glad that we are out for actual snow and not ice or a slushy mess. This snow is pretty! Here are some pictures from JoJo and I out in the snow :)
Our backyard
The pond in our neighborhood with the power lines and empty dog park behind it :)

OTH

OTH, better known as, One Tree Hill, has become one of my favorite television shows over the past couple of years. It is one of those shows that I did not start watching from the beginning, but I caught it every now and then. OTH started in 2003 back when I was obsessed with Gilmore Girls and hardly watched anything else. The show began set in high school but after four seasons, they jumped ahead to the future and portrayed the characters as 22 year old fresh out of college young adults. That is when I began getting into the show b/c I was the same age. The show is filled with drama and love, it is pretty much a night time soap opera. Over Christmas break, I was able to watch some old episodes that I had never seen on SoapNet. They show it every afternoon at 2:00. Since I was enjoying the episodes so much I decided to DVR it each day so I could watch after school. Totally the highlight of my afternoons now!

My favorite character is Haley. She was kind of a nerdy girl in high school, but she had an amazing singing talent. She worked for the school tutoring center. She began tutoring this hot shot basketball player Nathan, and they ended up falling in love. Haley and Nathan got married in high school, but their relationship wasn't easy. Haley got to go on tour singing causing them strain, but they were able to rekindle everything when she returned. Haley even became pregnant during their senior year! When the show skipped 4 years, Haley become a teacher! She was a high school teacher, but still I had things in common with her to make me relate more to her. Anyways enough on OTH, check it out sometime. It is a pretty great show! Tuesday nights @ 7:00 on The CW :)

2010 in review

2010 was a great year! Eric and I began the year with an obession with the new Super Mario Bros for Wii. We played that thing nonstop almost until we beat it. On the second day of the year my big sister got engaged which gave everyone something to look forward to later on in the year.

I began this blog in April setting a goal to post once a week. Seems like a reached that goal except for in the months of September and October. Pretty impressive since I never had anything too exciting to talk about :) Eric and I hit two years of marriage at the end of April! Yay! In May, my third graders won the tug-a-war competition at Field Day which was the most awesome accomplishment for them ending my 2nd year of teaching!

At the beginning of the summer, it was time for Paula and JP's pharmacy school graduation festivities. Fun times, as my sister was the valdictorian! In June and July, I spent a lot of my time at the salon which was not as much fun as the past, but I made some money! Made me even more ready for the school year to begin :)

Beginning of August of course started with my b-day. I turned 25! The day after, work began again showing me how much I just love my job and the people I work with :) I was blessed this year with a pretty cool group of kiddos. Labor Day weekend rolled around pretty fast, and it was time for the Barefoot On The Beach Wedding! The wedding was very pretty and everyone had a blast on their mini-vacation get-a-way.

October began with me taking a pregnancy test, seeing it was positive, and being in disbelief! Eric and I had only been trying for a little over a month. After the initial shock and excitement wore off, we were able to share the news with our family. Something (someone) very exciting to spend the seconf half of 2011 with :)

Thanksgiving and Christmas rolled around faster than ever. The holidays were busy and fun as usual. Plus, I had an excuse to eat more :) Tonight is New Year's Eve, Eric and I will be spending it at Paula and JP's house playing games and eating snack foods ending 2010!
